- Super Falcons star, Rasheedat Ajibade has been named the March Player of the Month at Spanish side, Atlético de Madrid Femenino.
- It is the second straight month Ajibade will pick up the award after she was named the club's best player in February.
For the February award, Ajibade was without equal as she started all of Atletico Madrid's five games and assisted three of her team’s five goals in the month.
The 24-year-old's contribution helped Atletico Madrid climb to fifth position in the Primera División Femenina.
Still, Ajibade did not let up, as she delivered one excellent performance after another in March.
The former Avaldsnes midfielder assisted the goal that powered Atlético de Madrid Femenino to a [1-0] league win over CD Sporting de Huelva Cajasol San Juan on March 10.
Ajibade capped her fine displays with the crucial winning goal in Las Rojiblancas' [1-0] win at home to Valencia CF in their last league match of the month.
Also in March, Ajibade replicated her brilliant showings in the colours of Nigeria as she helped the Super Falcons to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
She skippered the nine-time African champions to beat South Africa 1-0 in Abuja before the team drew goalless in Pretoria to edge past the Banyana Banyana in the final playoff.
Earlier today, Ajibade assisted the opening goal and scored the second goal as Atlético de Madrid Femenino roared to a [5-1] win against Real Betis Balompié.
